I am currently the Treasurer. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration on May 5, 1974. After graduation, I worked as an Internal Auditor for the City of Houston for 2 years. I then was employed as an Internal Auditor for the Texas State Comptroller’s Office for 35 years until retirement. I then retired again after working for 8 years for Prairie View A&M University as a Business Specialist for the Athletic Department.

My most memorable time at PVAMU was when I was initiated in the Zeta Gamma Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. my sophomore year. It really inspired me to be a leader and learn how to give your best to whatever obstacles you are faced with. People often remind me that I wore pink and green practically every day after I joined that great sorority! In November of 2021, I celebrated 50 years for being an Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. member.

My future plans are to keep “Living My Life Like It’s Golden” and do whatever makes me happy!
