I am the oldest son of the late George Standley, Sr. and Erma Lee Hall. I was born in San Jacinto County in the City of Point Blank. I am a proud graduate of Coldspring High School. 

Immediately after graduating High School, I joined the U S Navy and served honorably for two (2) years and thereafter served four (4) years in the Naval Reserve. After Military Service, I enrolled and graduated from Prairie View A&M University, receiving a degree in Industrial Engineering Technology. 

After graduating from Prairie View, A&M University, I was hired by a Fortune 500 Company – Texas Instruments/Raytheon Aerospace and Defense.  

Spent the next 40 plus (+) years working as a Manufacturing Engineer. As Operations Manager, I was responsible for business operations, production operations, Electro-Optics integration and testing. I guided and motivated many young engineers to achieve significant accomplishments. 

Most memorable time at PVAMU was walk across campus where I met my wife (Cammie) after being rejected by the first lady I met on campus. Retired March 2016 after 40 years, 7 months, & 2 hours from Raytheon (TI/Raytheon) and returned home to live and serve SJC and now reside permanently in Oakhurst, Texas.
